Ward 1 residents are invited to visit Fun House and all National Building Museum exhibitions with complimentary admission from 9–11 am on Ward 1 Day, Tuesday, July 24. Explore their newest summer installation, create your own creative construction with Community Forklift, and enjoy story time and mobile library book check-out provided by DC Public Library. RSVPs are not necessary, but are encouraged.

Support for the District’s Immigrant Residents
This week’s final approval of the budget included passage and funding for my Immigrant Legal Service Program, which will support immigrant families affected by federal policies. The new law funds legal services for low-income documented and undocumented residents through non-profits and pro bono services. It will also train attorneys on immigration legal issues and will offer free legal advice, brief services and representation for full-time residents and students. The program will be administered by the Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants.
