Good news this week! Rosemount Center and its landlord, House of Mercy, have come up with an agreement to keep the cherished early childhood education center in Mount Pleasant open with a lease extension of at least two years.
Revenues are expected to slow, while the needs continue to rise. The challenge is to accommodate the first without ignoring the second.

It was a long day at the Council yesterday, as we took up the Secure DC omnibus public safety bill. We voted to approve the bill in its first reading, with a number of critical changes and protections; we will take up additional amendments at the final reading in a few weeks.
