Statement on Shooting at the Capital Jewish Museum

I am devastated by this targeted attack on members of the Jewish community: two young people who had planned a future together and who had been attending an event with others in public service. My heart goes out to the families and the community.

Antisemitism and other forms of hate have no place here in the District of Columbia. Thank you to our law enforcement and government partners and members of the faith community in D.C. who are coming together to pursue justice and provide additional safety measures, as well as comfort to our community.
