“As a parent and a Councilmember, I am deeply concerned about recent revelations that Chancellor Wilson’s own child was transferred inappropriately. I know from my Ward 1 constituents how stressful and challenging the school lottery can be, and how important school placement is for each child.

Today, the D.C. Council had its second and final vote to approve the bill with some important changes that were requested by advocates like yourself. Since the bill’s first vote on November 7th I’ve been meeting with concerned stakeholders and I included two amendments to the final bill that will:

Today, December 19, 2017, Ward 1 D.C. Councilmember Brianne K. Nadeau, introduced a resolution before the District of Columbia Council opposing the repeal of Net Neutrality rules. The resolution was co-introduced by all 13 D.C. Councilmembers and was referred to the Committee on Government Operations.
