Statement in response to an attack on HU students

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Councilmember Brianne K. Nadeau issued the following statement in response to an attack on students at Howard University Monday night.

“Students should feel safe on and off campus and campus should be a sanctuary for them. In response to the disturbing violent incident at Howard University last week, we have spoken with school officials and offered to support the university in any way we can. We have also spoken with D.C. Police Commander James Boteler for an update and appreciate MPD’s ongoing coordination with campus security and university leadership.”
