					Voters will soon be able to rank their choices when voting in D.C. elections, thanks to Council approval of an amendment to the FY 2026 budget that funds the Ranked Choice Voting portion of Initiative 83.				
				 
															
					The Common Sense TOPA Reform Amendment Act of 2025 introduces would expedite transaction timelines, create consequences for bad actors who slow down the process or mislead tenants, and give tenants earlier access to information about their rights and options and connect them to tenant support organizations.				
				 
															
					The Recycling Refund and Litter Reduction Amendment Act of 2025 is major environmental legislation that would drastically reduce litter in streets, parks and rivers by placing a refundable 10-cent deposit on beverage containers sold in the District.
